Robert A. Cormier, Sr.

June 8, 1941 — August 28, 2021

Robert A. Cormier, Sr., 80, of Manchester, passed away on August 28, 2021, at Elliot Hospital, after a recent injury.
Born in Manchester on June 8, 1941, he was the son of the late Roswell Frank and Beatrice Marie (Binet) Cormey. He was educated in Manchester and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He worked in sales for Carole Fabrics for many years.
Robert was a very kind, loyal and spiritual man who always wanted to help others. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed public speaking and had a passion for electronics. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
Surviving family members include one daughter, Suzanne Swirko and husband Francis of Chichester; four sons, Robert Cormier, Jr. of Hudson, David Cormier of Sunapee, Paul Cormier of Manchester, and John Cormier of New York; two step children, Kevin Martel of Chester, and Kimberly St. Jean and husband Richard of Manchester; six grandchildren, Jennifer Sheldon, Matthew and Tyler Morrison, Amanda Alic, and Samuel and Mason Cormier; and five great grandchildren, Emili, Benjamin and Landan Robert Sheldon, Adeline Morrison, and Lincoln Alic; and his beloved cat, Sunshine He was predeceased by both parents; his wife and mother of his children, Barbara (Belanger) Cormier in 1992; and his wife June (Martel) Cormier in 2019.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A graveside committal service will take place at 10 am, on Wednesday, in St. Augustin Cemetery, S. Beech St., Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester, NH 03104.
