Robert P. (Bob) Amlaw, 74, of Manchester passed away on Tuesday at Evergreen Place on September 17th, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on January 23rd, 1950 he was the son of George and Lorraine (Marsolais) Amlaw. After graduation, he joined the Air force, where he served for 4 years, and was honorably discharged as a surgical technician.

In 2017, Bob retired from J.P. Chemical after 38 years of service, retiring in 2017. Recently he became an enthusiastic resident of Evergreen Place, where he quickly became involved with the community, made friends, was active with events like Wii Bowling; and most recently a Mount Washington Dinner Cruise and family outing. He was an active member of the Parish of the Transfiguration, and until recently he was an active member of the Heel & Toe Square dancing Club.

Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years, Jeannine P. (Gosselin) Amlaw in 2011. 

He is survived by one son, Steven Amlaw and husband David Schumaker of Manchester; one daughter, Lisa Amlaw of Manchester; one granddaughter, Alaina Scott and husband Chase of Manchester; four sisters, Carol M. Bernier and husband Francis of Hooksett, Mary L. Duhaime and husband, Phil of Merrimack, Lois J. Honey of Cottonwood, AZ and Jane L. Boynton and husband William of Chester; one brother, James Amlaw and wife Bonnie of Manchester; his sister-in-law, Denise Kassapis and husband Vange of Ocala, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held from 11am to 1pm, with a Catholic Prayer Service beginning promptly at 1pm on Monday, Sept. 23rd, Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH, 03104. Committal prayers to follow, at 3pm, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen NH. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to: American Heart Association, NH Chapter, 2 Wall St., #105, Manchester, NH 03101.
