Robert Berube, 71, of Manchester died September 26, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester on December 17, 1931, he was the son of Samuel and Lea (Francoeur) Berube. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard for 14 years.
Mr. Berube worked as a heavy equipment operator at the New Boston Tracking Station for many years.
He was a member of the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post #2.
The family includes his wife of 45 years, June C. (Libby) Berube of Manchester; four children, Theresa M. Berube of Manchester, Andrew P. Berube of Goffstown, Michael R. Berube of Florida and Kathrine A. Campono of Weare; five grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Marshall of Portsmouth; a brother, Gerald Berube of Hooksett; uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday September 29, 2003 in St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Rd. and Sarto St., Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Merrimack St., Suite 1, Manchester 03101-2244.
