He was born in Manchester on October 26, 1951, the son of Roland and Irene (Roy) Blondeau. Robert was educated in the Manchester school system and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
Robert had a passion for culinary arts and was a fabulous cook. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, fishing, camping, farming, and had a love for horses. He was a longtime volunteer and employee of New Horizons. He tried to help those in need and was content with the simple things in life. Robert will be remembered as a strong man who worked hard, could build anything and had a good sense of humor. More so, he was a loving father and grandfather.
Family includes two daughters, Heather Becotte and husband David of Derry, and Lisa Blondeau of Manchester; three grandchildren, Brianna, Addison & Charlotte Becotte of Derry; four sisters Susan Charest-Lyons and her husband David of Mount Dora, FL, Claire Thing of Hooksett, Doris Pelchat and her husband Felix of Goffstown, Denise Boyd and her husband Michael of Goffstown, Roland Blondeau Jr. of Barnstead, and Marcel Blondeau and his companion Patricia of Manchester. He was predeceased by his parents Roland and Irene Blondeau.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: New Horizons, 199 Manchester St., PO Box 691, Manchester, NH 03105.
