Robert Adelard Brodeur, 88, of Nashua, died December 23, 2013.

Born in Nashua on April 17, 1925, he was the son of Albert and Florida (Tremblay) Brodeur. He attended schools in Nashua, NH and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was predeceased by his wife of 36 years Arline (Burpee) Brodeur and his daughter, Donnalee Mary Lantaigne.

Prior to retirement, he had been a master carpenter for many years.

An avid and passionate hiker, Robert enjoyed scaling the peaks of NH's 4000+ feet mountains and up until a few years back, hiked Mount Monadnock numerous times a week and was proud to be considered a member of the current day Monadnock "Woodshed Gang".

Family members include his daughter Judith Sourdif and her husband, Raymond, of Boscawen; granddaughter, Tarra LaChapelle and her husband, Kevin, of Tilton, Carolyn O'Neal and her husband, Alan, of Deerfield and grandson, Timothy Sourdif and his wife, Cathy, of Lee, NH and six great grandchildren - Bryson, Kegan, Harrison, Emma, Tess & Anna.

He is survived by three sisters - Lucille Caron and her husband, Herbert, of Nashua, Irene Boldini and her husband, Mario, of Nashua and Alma Raskiewicz of Nashua. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH. Urn burial will take place in St. Louis de Gonzague cemetery at a later date.
