Robert C. Desbiens, 79, of Manchester, died July 29, 2016, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Manchester on May 12, 1937, the son of Charles and Lillian (Samson) Desbiens.
Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corp. before serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman Apprentice in 1957. During his career, he worked as a stitching supervisor at MKM Tam Oshanter.
Robert was fun loving man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed dancing and time spent with his family. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
The family includes his wife, Theresa (Lizotte) Desbiens of Manchester; three daughters, Sandra Boucher and husband Bob of Weare, Pamela Lavoie and husband Ronald of Hooksett, and Cynthia Lariviere of Penacook; one son, Kevin Desbiens of Manchester; two step daughters, Suzanne Proulx and husband Normand of Hooksett, and Jacqueline Merrihew and husband Harry of Manchester; four granddaughters; six grandsons; four great granddaughters; one great grandson; one sister, Violet Lacroix Manchester; one brother, Richard Desbiens of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, Donna and Michael Desbiens; and brother, Mike Houle.
