He was born in Manchester, February 24, 1930, the son of Arthur and Cecile (Drolet) Cere and was a lifelong resident of this city.
He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Robert retired from Budweiser Brewery in Merrimack where he had worked for many years.
He had been a member of the former St. Edmond Church where he served as a lector and was currently a member of Parish of the Transfiguration.
He and his wife had wintered in Florida for more than 20 years.
Robert was an avid card player and enjoyed taking care of his flower garden and lawn.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Jeanne G. (Lavallee) Cere of Manchester; six children, Susan Katsikides and her husband, James, of Manchester, Robert F. Cere, Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Hampton, VA, Paul W. Cere of Manchester, Daniel A. Cere and his wife, Denise, of Goffstown, Cathy Intorcio and her husband, Frank, of Manchester, and Steven A. Cere and his wife, Cathleen, of Manchester; thirteen grandchildren; Tina Lemay, Kevin Cere, Ryan Cere, Bridget Barone, Kristopher Cere, Kortney Pineau, Corey Cere, Paige Cere, Thomas Intorcio, Nicholas Intorcio, Steven Cere, Krista Hebert and Charles Katsikides; seven great grandchildren; four siblings, Dora Zavinsky, Estelle Fournier, both of Manchester, Joseph Cere and his wife, Rita, of Rochester, NY, Christine Fugere and her husband, Joseph, of North Carolina; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
