Robert A. Desmarais

Born in Manchester on February 20, 1931, he was the son of Edmond and Jeannette (Marcotte) Desmarais. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He earned a bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College and a medical degree from St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO. He served his internship in Flint, MI and his residency in Norfolk, VA

Dr. Desmarais served as a medical doctor in the US Public Health Service. He then had a private practice as a family physician in Manchester for many years.

The family includes his wife of 52 years, Ann (Griffith) Desmarais of Manchester; five children, Janet Desmarais and Karen Mallett both of Manchester, John Desmarais of Goffstown, Susan LaRovere of Lynnfield, MA and David Desmarais of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Roger Desmarais of Stuart, FL; two sisters, Irene Swist and Claire Rivard both of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family.
