Robert W. Donohue, 79, of Manchester, died December 20, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Born in Baltimore, MD, May 9, 1923, he was the son of William R. and Mable (Kearney) Donohue. He was a graduate of the Baltimore College of Commerce. He lived most of his life in Manchester.
He was an army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Donohue worked as the manager for State Pharmacy for many years.
He was very active with Self Help for the Hard of Hearing with Prime Time.
He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 1, and a member of the League of 1000 men of the Precious Blood.
He was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.
Mr. Donohue was married to Barbara (Baker) Donohue, who died in 1983.
Family members include a daughter, Jane A. Murchie of Weare, NH; 2 sons, Edward R. Donohue of Manchester, and James B. Donohue of Colorado; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Sister Celeste Donohue of Emmitsburg, MD; a brother, Thomas H. Donohue of Florida; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday December 24, 2002 in St. Catherine Church, Webster St. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
