Robert E. Demers, 84, of Manchester died March 16, 2018 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on August 17, 1933, he was the son of Ernest and Ida (Gauthier) Demers. He was educated in the local school system and had lived many years in Pinardville. During the Korean War, he served as a paratrooper in the US Army.
Prior to retirement, he was employed as a truck driver with the Teamsters Union for many years.
Bob and his wife loved spending time at Hampton Beach and also enjoyed many years ocean side in Florida. He also enjoyed spending as much time outside as possible.
He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Desmarais) Demers in 2014.
Family members include his sister, Pauline Nickerson and husband Jon of Moultonborough; his sister-in-law, Judith Bureau of Manchester; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
