Robert G. Gagnon

Robert G. Gagnon, 87, of Manchester, died September 15, 2021 at Granite VNA Hospice in Concord after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on June 16, 1934 to Hormidas and Alice (St. Pierre) Gagnon. He attended Manchester Central High School and lived in Goffstown and Manchester for many years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Robert worked as a self-employed electrician. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5112 in Goffstown for many years.

When his boys were young, he was active with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. He also enjoyed making pens out of wood.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Jeanine (Hebert) Gagnon in 1999 and a son, David Gagnon.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Francoise A. (Gosselin) (DesRuisseaux) Gagnon of Manchester; a son; Gerald Gagnon and his wife, LuAnn, of Northwood; his former daughter-in-law, Diane Gagnon of Hillsborough; three step-children, Theresa Vaillancourt and her husband, Brian, and David DesRuisseaux and his wife, Donna, all of Goffstown and Steven DesRuisseaux and his wife, Colleen, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Kimberly, Matthew, Bethany and Abigail; eight step-grandchildren, Kirsten, Jessica, Lee, Rachel, Ryan, Eric, Megan and Jack; a great grandson, Nathan; a sister, Lucille Harper of Goffstown; and nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
