Born in Manchester on December 1, 1932, he was the son of John and Alexina (Hamel) Grady. He was educated in the local parochial school system, graduated from Bishop Bradley High School and attended St. Anselm College.
During the Korean War, he was stationed aboard the USS New Jersey while serving in the US Navy.
Prior to his retirement in 1989, Bob had worked as a senior examiner for the State of NH Insurance Department.
He was a lifelong member of the Elks Club Lodge 146. He also held membership in the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post #2, the Legion of 1000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood, the Society of Financial Examiners, and the Society of Market Conduct Examiners.
Bob will be remembered as a loving and caring person who cherished time spent with his family.
His family would like to thank all of his friends and caretakers who have been such a help during this most difficult time. Bob relied on his friends as much as his family and loved you all. He was proud to be an organ donor.
He was predeceased by his twin brother Richard D. Grady Sr. in 2007. He was also predeceased by his brother John C. Grady, longtime companion Cynthia Worley, nephew Christopher and niece Kathleen.
Family members include his sister, Margaret A. Adams and husband Bruce of Bow; nephews, Timothy and Richard; nieces, Beth-Ann, Mary Frances, Amy, and Katherine.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Burial with military honors followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
