Robert George Gregoire

Robert George Gregoire, 79, passed away peacefully at his home on February 13, 2025 surrounded by family. 

Bob was born on April 5, 1945, in Berlin, NH to George and Antoinette (Valliere) Gregoire. He attended Notre Dame High School in Berlin and later graduated from NH College with a bachelor’s degree. A curious and cerebral person, Bob joined the armed forces after high school and used his natural talents and interest in math to study computer programming, a new profession at the time. 

After living in Europe he returned to the US where he married, raised children, went to college and enjoyed a decades-long career as a programmer with New Hampshire Insurance Co (AIG). In retirement Bob enjoyed bird watching, daily naps, and telling stories to his grandchildren who remember him most for his humor, clever games and precious dinner table chair where he’d spend hours reading on his iPad. 

Bob is survived by his wife Patricia (LaBonte) of 56 years. Members of his family include a son, Jim and his wife Shannon Kelley of Andover, MA, and a daughter, Cynthia Davison and her husband Mark of Manchester, NH. He leaves behind his grandchildren Lily, Quinn and Ben Gregoire and is also survived by his sister Muriel Menken of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be from 9am -10am on Thursday, February 20th, at St Pius X Church, 575 Candia Rd, Manchester, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and internment at NH Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Rd, Manchester, NH 03109.
