Robert J. Griffin (“Bobby”), a lifelong resident of Bedford, died peacefully on July 29th, 2024, surrounded by his family after a lengthy and brave battle with Parkinsons/Lewy Body Dementia.
Born on May 29, 1965, he was the son of Robert A. and Catherine (Vorhees) Griffin. He was educated in the Bedford School System and graduated from Manchester West High School. He then attended Plymouth State College. He spent most of his career as a sales manager in the beverage industry.
Bobby’s great sense of humor and the love he had for his family were obvious to anyone who met him. Spending time with his family and animals, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and working in the yard, all made him happy. But what made him happiest was his daughter, Payton, who was his biggest pride and joy and could always make him smile. He loved attending her many activities and he was so proud of the person that she was becoming. Bobby had a kind, generous and unforgettable soul. He will be missed by the many who loved him dearly.
Family members include his wife Jennifer Holmes-Griffin; his daughter, Payton; his mother, Catherine Griffin of Bedford; his brothers, Patrick Griffin and wife Sally of Moultonborough, NH; Christopher “Kip” Griffin and wife Christine of Bedford; nephews and nieces, Justin, Tyler, Madison, and Zachary. He also would not want us to forget the dogs that he loved dearly, Tango and Kiwi and Lucky, the cat.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, will be Friday, August 2nd from 4 to 7 pm. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.
