Robert S. Langdon Sr., 64, of Vinton St, Manchester, died December 1, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 20, 1941, the son of Arthur and Clara (Candidus) Langdon. Bob was raised in Ozone Park in Brooklyn, moving to Haddam Neck, CT as a boy where he enjoyed raising livestock and spending time with his family.

He served in the US Army as a medic stationed in Alaska.

Robert was a brilliant mind and worked most of his time as a distributor for Zimmer USA. In addition to his work in the medical field for Zimmer, Bob invented and commercialized innovative medical devices, holding six US patents. His work drove him to move to Bedford, NH in 1977. He had resided in Bedford until his move to Manchester in 1999. He served as president of the Bedford Lion's Club from 1985 to 1986.

Family members include his wife of 37 years, Joan (Rosadini) Langdon of Manchester; two sons, Robert S. Langdon Jr. and his wife Danielle (Charpentier) Langdon of Gilbert, AZ, Brian Langdon and his wife Karen (Bourque) Langdon of Henniker, NH; one daughter, Tiffany M. (Langdon) Vincent and husband David A. Vincent of Manchester; three grandchildren, Brandon Langdon, Brianna Langdon, and Ava Vincent; two brothers, Arthur and Hammy; two sisters, Jeannette and Claire; He was predeceased by his parents.

The funeral service was held Tuesday December 5, 2006 in the funeral home chapel.
