Robert W. Lemire, 81, of Manchester, died September 21, 2004, at Bel-Air Nursing Home, Goffstown, after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester, August 31, 1923, and was the son of Evariste and Octavie (Jodoin) Lemire. He was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Lemire was a US Navy veteran of World War II.
He retired from American Velcro Co. where he worked for several years.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.
Family members include his wife of 56 years, Jeannine (Bell) Lemire of Manchester; three daughters, Gloria Sahagian of Hudson, NH, Sandra Nelson of Ft. Myers, FL, and Linda Royce of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Germaine Duhaime of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday September 24, 2004 at St. Anthony Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
