Robert “Bob” Odias Longchamps, of Manchester passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 18th 2026, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on May 30, 1939 to the late Odias and Ernestine (Nuttle) Longchamps.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Manchester and was educated in the local school system. Upon graduation from Manchester West HS in 1957, he started work at JJ Reilly Co. as a shop/warehouse worker. He then began working as an apprentice electrician, moving up to journeyman/foreman, and ultimately working in the office as an estimator. He spent 17 years at Reilly before leaving in 1974 to start Longchamps Electric. Longchamps Electric would go on to become one of the largest commercial/industrial electrical contractors in New Hampshire. After dedicating himself to the business and electrical industry for many years, he retired in 2015. Bob was an extremely hard worker and entrepreneur and was well respected in the industry. He was the recipient of the 23rd annual New Hampshire Construction Industry Ethics Award. In addition, Bob was a co-owner of the Executive Health and Sports Center. Throughout his life, Bob continuously supported multiple charities including Easterseals, Veteran’s Count, Bedford Lions Club, and ABC Contractors. Bob was also a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Church.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his four siblings: Richard Longchamps, Marie Colby, Linda Perkins, and Kathy Morra.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary Ann (Stephen) Longchamps. He was a loving father to his three children, Sheryl Ann Christensen, Stephanie Ann Longchamps-Mosher and her husband William, and Robert J. Longchamps and partner Crystal Ramer. A proud grandfather to his five grandchildren, Erica Christensen and partner Jennifer Lawrence, Michael and Sarah Mosher and Margaux and Sophie Longchamps. He also cherished his great-granddaughter, Goldie Mae; his sister, Marlene Locke; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather for calling hours on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Lambert Funeral Home from 3-6pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10am at Our Lady of the Cedars Melkite Church, 140 Mitchell Street, Manchester with interment immediately following at the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald Street, Bedford, NH. A Celebration of Life will be held following the interment at Manchester Country Club, 180 South River Road, Bedford, NH.
