Robert H. Paris, 91, of Goffstown, died September 9, 2017 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
He was born in Dunbarton on July 21, 1926 to Frederick and Orilda (Barbeau) Paris. He lived in the Pinardville section of Goffstown since 1958.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater.
Robert worked in local mills and in later years as a carpenter for Erin Foods Service (known as BK Construction Company) from where he retired after 12 years of service.
He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and making crafts. He was a member of the NRA, Pinardville Athletic Club, AARP, Boot Scoot'n Boomers and the QCP Square Dancing Club.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Rita H. (Rochefort) Paris in 2015; his youngest son, Ronald A. Paris in 2013; and five siblings, Albert Paris, Maurice Paris, Frederick Paris Jr., Alice Juneau and Violet Provencher.
The family includes two children, Robert M. Paris and his wife, Diane (Pelletier), of Goffstown and Susan J. Fowler and her husband, James, of Tilton; one grandson, Jacob Rousseau of Maine; two granddaughters, Bethany Roy of Goffstown and Nicole Storrs of Manchester; two great grandchildren, Alexa and Zachary Roy; and nieces and nephews
A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
