Born April 27, 1924, he was the son of Alphonse and Ernestine (Lapointe) Robidas. At a young age, his family moved to the Nashua area where he was educated.
During WWII, he served in the US Navy and was a member of the Seabees, stationed in the Pacific Theater.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed by New Hampshire Welding/Air Gas in Salem, NH for 40 years.
He was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
He was predeceased by his wife Rita D. (Lanoie) Robidas and his son Roger Robidas in March of 2007.
Members of his family include one daughter, Denise MacRenaris and her husband Grant of Manchester; two sons, Roland Robidas and his wife Marlene, Ronald Robidas and his wife Elaine, all of Manchester; one daughter-in-law, Rita Robidas of Manchester; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Robidas of Manchester and Simone Gosselin of Peabody, MA.
The Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday February 9, 2008 in St. Anthony Church, Belmont St. Committal prayers and burial with full military honors followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory as well as in memory of his deceased son Roger to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH, 03110 or to the NH Chapter of MS, 27 Harvey Rd, Manchester, NH, 03103.
