Robert G. Roy

Robert G. Roy, 71, of Manchester, passed away March 27, 2023, at Elliot Hospital, after a courageous battle with a respiratory illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 31, 1951, he was the son of the late Roland and Geraldine (Dion) Roy.  He was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School, earned his bachelor’s degree from New Hampshire College, and was a lifelong resident of the West Side.  He was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for Medaglia & Co. and Paradis, Raymond & Jalbert for 30 years.

Robert enjoyed collecting stamps, playing pool and cribbage.  He had an incredible sense of humor, often teasing his children and grandchildren.  He would always say he had no heart but in reality he had the biggest heart of all. The most important thing to him was spending time with his family. He was the happiest when he was with his grandchildren. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Surviving family members include his beloved wife of 46 years, Jeanette F. (Presutti) Roy of Manchester; six children, Stephen Roy and wife Jessica, Audrey Roy and spouse Levy Frasca, James A. Roy and spouse Tashina Metz, Michael Roy and wife Bethany, Kathryn Roy and spouse Randy Mitchell, and Robert A. Roy; ten grandchildren, Travis, James, Colin, Alexa, Lucas, Zachary, Benjamin, Madelynn, Ava, and Noah; two brothers, Andre Roy and wife Maureen and George Roy and wife Kim; one sister, Diane Bergeron and husband Curt; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by one daughter, Sarah A. Roy in 1989; and both his parents.

Services:  Calling hours are from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, March 31^st at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, April 1^st at Parish of the Transfiguration Church, 107 Alsace St., Manchester, NH 03102. Committal prayers to follow in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH 03102. A Celebration Of Life will be held in June.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Sawyer Main Street Function Hall, 13 Main St., Goffstown, NH
