Robert L. Sharek

Robert L. Sharek, 67, of Manchester died August 12, 2005 at his home after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on December 19, 1937, he was the son of Lawrence and Mary (Oparowski) Sharek. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He was a graduate of Keene State College where he had served as president of the Music Education National Conference (MENC). He also attended Berkley College of Music.

Mr. Sharek was the music director for the Rochester (NH) School System for 27 years. He also taught music privately in Manchester.

He served in the New Hampshire Air National Guard. He was a member of the American Federation of Teachers and Sweeney Post #2 of Manchester.

Family members include many cousins.

There were no services.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
