Robert J. Tibbo

Robert J. Tibbo, 84, of Manchester, died June 7, 2005, at the Elliot Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born in Boston, MA, November 10, 1920, and was the son of Alexander and Norma (Lambert) Tibbo. He lived in Florida for 9 years had been a resident of the Manchester area many years.

Mr. Tibbo served in the US Navy during World War II.

He worked as an equipment engineer with N.E. Telephone Co. for 37 years.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Doris E. (Landry) Tibbo, who died in 1968, and by a daughter, Leslie Todd, who died in 1996.

Family members include his wife of 36 years, Grace E. (Nowell) Tibbo of Manchester; nine daughters, Sally A. Adams of Manchester, Joan M. Dunbar of Dallas, TX, Mary L. Foye of Manchester, Maureen M. Slattum of Weare, NH, Kathleen L. Beauchemin of Goffstown, Patricia A. Bourque of Manchester, Kelly J. Soucy of East Hartford, CT, Jamie B. Palmer of Goffstown, and Susan L. Soucy of Bedford, NH; two sons, Richard J. Larkin of Los Angeles, CA , and Robert J. Tibbo of Nashua, NH; 23 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Woodbury of Wells, ME; nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Friday June 10, 2005 in the chapel of Broookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm St., Manchester. Burial, with military honors, was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
