Robert T. Tobin

He was born in Manchester on October 9, 1946, the son of Thomas J. and Ursula M. (McCarthy) Tobin. He was educated in the local school system and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Mr. Tobin has been a math teacher at both Merrimack High School and Memorial High School. Most recently, he had been the owner and operator of Tobin Enterprises which operates local bookstores.

He was an avid tennis player and golfer who held membership at Derryfield Country Club. His wry sense of humor and generous kind heart will be missed by his many friends.

He leaves behind his wife, Lena M. (Quintal) Tobin of Manchester; one son, Patrick J. Tobin of Manchester; three daughters, Meghan B. Tobin of Manchester, Kelly Tobin of Cambridge, MA, and Jennifer Tobin of Boston; one brother, Thomas J. Tobin of Manchester; many nephews and one niece.

The funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday May 23, 2008 in St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd., Manchester. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
