Robert Lucien Turcotte, 84, of Manchester died April 24th, 2016 after a period of declining health surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on July 25, 1931, he was the son of Raymond and Albina (Boucher) Turcotte. He was educated in the local school system and served in the US Army National Guard.
Prior to retirement, he had been a Union Carpenter with Local 625 for many years.
Robert enjoyed playing golf and cards, bowling, and dancing. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who cherished time spent at family gatherings.
Family members include his wife of 62 years, Doris (Gagnon) Turcotte of Manchester; his three daughters, Bonita Richard and husband Raymond of Litchfield, Patricia Turcotte and husband Denis Bourgeois of Manchester, Priscilla Swenson and husband Christopher of Winnatka, IL; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline St. Cyr and husband Alfred of Manchester; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Turcotte; many nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Sacred Heart Church, So Main St, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
