Robert J. Wallace, 77, of Manchester died February 18, 2005 at a local healthcare facility after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on August 25, 1927 the son of Eugene Wallace and June (Nutting) Snow. He was educated in the local school system. During WWII, he served in the US Navy.
Prior to retirement, he had been a realty supervisor for Davison Construction.
Mr. Wallace was a former member of the Knights of Columbus #5260 and served on the Manchester School Board for 2 terms in the 1970's.
He was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was pre-deceased by his brother, John E. Wallace of Rochester, NY.
Members of his family include his wife of 56 years, Lorraine P. (Lasselle) Wallace of Manchester; 2 sons, Robert Reed Wallace of Auburn, NH and Hugh J. Wallace of Manchester; 2 daughters, Melanie L. Wallace of New York, NY and Susan G. LaFrance of Orlando, FL; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Betty Riedel of Bedford, Jane Willett of Manchester, Ruth Field of Manchester, and Bonnie Wallace of Fitzwilliam; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church on Wednesday February 23, 2005. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
