Robert Franklin Waller, 81, died July 7, 2004 at his Bedford residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Douglas, Wyoming on April 9, 1923, the son of John and Julia (Claytor) Waller. He attended the University of Texas El Paso.
He served in the US Army and was a prisoner of war in Europe for 6 months during World War II. He attained the rank of Captain at the time of his discharge from active duty.
Prior to his retirement in 1985, Mr. Waller was the national distribution manager for Sears Co.
Members of his family include his wife of nearly 54 years, Marjorie (Taylor) Waller of Bedford; Two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Brown of El Paso, Texas and Jan Sluka of Bedford; 4 grandchildren; soon to be 4 great-grandchildren; One sister, JoAnn Cole of Midland, Texas; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
The funeral service was held Saturday, July 17, 2004 in the Bedford Presbyterian Church.
