Roberta J. (Dinwoodie) Young, 66, of Manchester died May 30, 2003 at CRVNA Hospice House, Concord after a long illness.
Born in Manchester on July 30, 1936, she was the daughter of Robert B. and Jeannette M. (Pothier) Dinwoodie. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mrs. Young worked at Amoskeag Beverages in Hooksett and Silver Brothers in Manchester for many years.
She was a member of South Main Street Congregational Church in Manchester and was also a member of that church's choir.
She was a lover of life and the ocean was her home.
The family includes her husband of 45 years, Rufus G. "Bud" Young of Manchester; three daughters, Robin Tarkleson of Colebrook, Juli Laughlin of Naples, ME and Heidi Pierce of Milton, VT; eight grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Normandeau of Goffstown; a brother, Robert B. Dinwoodie Jr. of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Monday June 2, 2003 in South Main Street Congregational Church, 301 So. Main St., Manchester. Pastor Roger Manning officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH.
