Roger E. Bellemore

Roger E. Bellemore Sr., 79, of Merrimack died March 16, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief battle with leukemia.

Born in Manchester on September 6, 1928, he was the son of Edouard and Eva (Dumas) Bellemare. He was a resident of Merrimack for many years.

Mr. Bellemore worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Company in Manchester and owned Granite State Poultry Farm in Merrimack for many years. He later owned Bellemore's Family Restaurant in Merrimack for many years.

He was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Merrimack.

The family includes his wife of 57 years, Lorraine (Tanguay) Bellemore of Merrimack; five sons, Roger Bellemore Jr., Richard Bellemore and his wife, Sharon, and Ronald Bellemore all of Merrimack, Edward Bellemore of Portsmouth and Michael Bellemore and his wife, Laura of Gilmanton; two daughters, Linda Trowbridge and Lori Bellemore both of Merrimack; 13 grandchildren and five step grandchildren; six great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.

A funeral liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday March 20, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Rd., Merrimack. Burial was in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
