He was born in Manchester on October 22, 1951, the son of Robert A. and Ghislaine G. (Gamache) Compagna. He was educated in the local parochial school system and graduated from St. Marie High School in 1969.
Most recently, he had been employed by Cirtronics in Milford for the past 11 years. Previously, he had worked as a photographer with Rheault Photography for over 30 years.
Roger loved woodworking, gardening, traveling, and playing board games. He excelled at photography and will be remembered as a loving and dedicated family man.
He was a longtime communicant of the Parish of the Transfiguration.
He was predeceased by his father in 2009, sister Denise and brothers Paul and Guy.
Family members include his wife of 38 years, Connie (Levesque) Compagna of Manchester; one son, Aaron Compagna of Manchester; one daughter, Christine Bermudez and her husband Gustavo of Naples, FL; his mother of Manchester; one brother, Donald F. Compagna and his wife Diane of Manchester; one sister, Gisele McCall and her husband James of Bedford; many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. His first grandchild, Lucas Bermudez is expected to be born in March of this year.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Alsace Streets.
