Roger M. Descheneau

Roger M. Descheneau, 67, of Bedford, died December 4, 2008, after a sudden illness.

He was born in Manchester, August 20, 1941, and was the son of Robert and Claire(Rouleau) Descheneau. He was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School class of 1960.

Following graduation, Roger entered the United States Air Force. He served with distinction during the Vietnam War. In 1981 after twenty years of service he was honorably discharged at the rank of Master Sargent.

He received a BA in Management from Golden gate University in 1976, and an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California in 1978. Over the last 24 years, Roger worked as a business administrator for several companies and agencies, including Loral, the school departments of Manchester and Goffstown, as well as the Department of Health and Human Services.

Never one to remain idle, Roger was quite an accomplished carpenter and handyman. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, that was detailed to a fault, honest, creative, and ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Family members include; his wife Lisa(Dauphinais)Descheneau, of Bedford; a daughter, Chantel Descheneau, of Bedford; 3 sons, Mark Descheneau, of Litchfield, Lt. Col. Wayne Descheneau (USAF), of NM, Maj. Troy Descheneau (USAF), of Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Armand Descheneau, of Bedford, Ronald Descheneau, of Manchester; a sister, Janet Boisvert, of Litchfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, December 11, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford.

Burial took place at Arlington National Cemetery, at a later date.
