He was a graduate, with high honors, of West High School, class of 1955, and class President both his junior and senior year. He was also an outstanding football player. Roger proudly contributed to the Defense of our Country as a Staff Sergeant of the US Army Reserves for eight years. He was a dedicated machinist during his career, working in various management positions before retiring in 2001.

Roger’s enjoyed playing baseball, which he played for many years when he was younger, and senior softball in his later years. He also enjoyed many sports and activities such as fishing and hunting. Roger and his wife traveled extensively together, though the Unites States and the Caribbean. They also enjoyed time spent together bowling, climbing the White Mountains and cross country skiing. What brought him the most happiness was watching his grandchildren play football and being their biggest cheerleader.
