Roger H. Duval

August 13, 1949 — February 28, 2011

Roger H. Duval, 61, of Bedford, died Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born in Manchester, and was the son of Henri and Therese (Cormier) Duval.

Roger was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton parish as well as a Eucharistic minister.

He attended St. Augustin Grammar School and graduated from St. Anthony High School before attending St. Leo College.

He began working in the family business, the former Kilton Wholesale meat service. Most recently worked he for 21 years as an electrician for St. Anselm College.

Roger volunteered 10 years for the Bedford Middle School, Mount Cardigan experience.

He treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time Roger enjoyed walking on the beach, going for a hike, bicycling and woodworking. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who enjoyed helping others.

Family members include his wife of 38 years Michele (Boissonneault) Duval of Bedford; two daughters, Kathryn Winslow and her husband David of Bedford; Amy Auletto and her husband Thomas of Northfield, NH; two grandchildren, Alexander and Matthew, his mother, Therese Duval; one brother, Paul Duval of North Carolina and one sister, Carmel Duval of Goffstown; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Henri P. Duval in 2007 and by his sister Jeanine McGuire 1992.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Friday, March 4, 2011 in St. Anselm Abbey Church 100 St. Anselm Dr. Manchester NH. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the St. Anselm College Scholarship fund.
