Roger E. Veilleux, 80, of Goffstown, died January 21, 2018 at CMC, after a brief illness.
Born in Goffstown on December 20, 1937, he was the son of George and Lillian (Lamothe) Veilleux.
During his career, Roger worked for Mt. Calvary Cemetery and Manchester Auxiliary Police. Prior to retirement he worked for Amoskeag Beverage and was a member of the Teamsters. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, National Guard, St. Vincent de Paul, and a volunteer at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
Roger will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Pauline (Chamberlain) Veilleux.
Family includes two sons, Richard Veilleux and wife Rachel of Salem, and Dennis Veilleux and wife Amanda of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Robin, Karen, Alison, Lindsay, and Abigail; two great grandchildren, Krystal, and Adrian; one sister, Priscilla Kelly; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one sister, Jeannette Tardif; and two brothers, Maurice and Lucien Veilleux.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillsbough County Nursing Home/Activities Dept., 400 Mast Rd., Goffstown, NH 03045.
