Roger M. Klinzing, 82, of Manchester died May 5, 2018 after a short illness surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 20, 1936, he was the son of Oscar and Marian (Prothero) Klinzing. Prior to his honorable discharge from the US Navy in 1957, he had attained the rank of Petty Officer, Third Class.
Roger had been employed by Local Union 6 in Boston, MA for over 38 years. Before his retirement in 1995, he had been working for Heat & Frost Insulators.
He enjoyed getting together with family, traveling and gambling.
Above all else, Roger will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loyal friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family members include his wife, Gloria (Wright) Klinzing of Manchester; his children, Doreen Clement of Foxborough, MA, Deborah Whitcomb of Frankfort, ME, Earl Klinzing and wife Amy of Henderson, NV and Carolyn Campbell and husband Mark of Deering, NH; two step-children, Randy Desrochers of Manchester and Daphne Piaseczny of Manchester; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Strittmatter of Washington, PA.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, May 11, 2018 in St. Pius X Church, Candia Road. Encryptment followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
