He was born in Manchester, March 2, 1923, and was the son of Oscar O. and Tharsille (LeBel) Lavallee. He was a lifelong resident of this city.
He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II.
Mr. Lavallee worked as a finished carpenter for many years.
He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 8214, the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, the Knights of Columbus, and the Carpenter's Union. He had been a communicant of Parish of the Transfiguration for many years.
Roger enjoyed spending time with his family.
Family members include two sons, Dennis O. Lavallee, David R. Lavallee, both of Manchester; three daughters, JoAnne Cronin of Manchester, Diane Demers of Hampton, and Carol Parker of Vista, CA; four brothers, Ronaldo Lavallee, Oscar Lavallee Jr., Robert Lavallee, all of Manchester, and Donald Lavallee of Alabama; six sisters, Jeanne Cere of Manchester, Claire Boisvert of Hooksett, Lorraine Raymond of Manchester, Dorothy McQueeney of Pittsburgh, NH, Constance Langlois of Manchester, and Doris Croteau of Hampton; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday January 30, 2007 at Parish of the Transfiguration. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
