He was born in Manchester on August 24, 1922, the son of Albert and Clerina (Boucher) Marcotte. He was educated in the local schools.
During WWII, he served in the US Army.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed by the Manchester Federal Savings & Loan Corp for 23 years. Previous to that, Roger had worked as a painter for Tony Pinsonneault General Contractors.
His wife Doris I. (Gingras) Marcotte died in 1986.
Members of his family include two daughters, Colleen Perkinson of Merritt Island, FL, Constance Foye and her husband William of Auburn; six grandchildren, Chris, Colin, Ceirn, and Cyle Foye, Scott and Mike Reno; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanne Dickinson of Bedford; nephews and nieces.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
