Roger J. Martel, 95, of Hooksett, died October 1, 2015 at Villa Crest Retirement Community in Manchester after a period of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on June 16, 1920 to Louis and Rose (Levasseur) Martel. He lived in Manchester and Hooksett for most of his life.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.

Roger worked at Prevue Products in Manchester for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Lucille T. (Desmarais) Martel in 2003.

He is survived by his cousin, Janice Ensminger of California; his dear friends, Eleanor Breton of Manchester, Joe Wysocki of Londonderry and Vivian and Conrad Lafond of Hooksett; his caregiver, Isaac Kangenthe; and many other longtime relatives, friends and neighbors.

Committal prayers were held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
