Roger H. Maurier, 69, of Hooksett, died October 12, 2021 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center - Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH of complications associated with pancreatic surgery. He was born in Manchester on March 23, 1952 to Laurent and Antoinette (Hebert) Maurier. He moved to Hooksett in 1978.
Educated in parochial schools, he earned a bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College where he graduated as valedictorian of the class of 1974.
After graduation Roger worked for the Association Canado-Americaine for 25 years. He was then employed by Apple Tree Insurance and Stewart Title Guarantee. After retiring, he felt drawn to a mission in home care and did so with the Visiting Angels for seven years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4961, the former Folk Group at Holy Rosary Parish and the Heel and Toe Square Dance Club where he served on the board in various capacities.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Stephen J. Maurier.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Irene Dumas-Maurier of Hooksett; four siblings, Sr. Pauline Maurier CSC, Richard Maurier and his wife Louise, Robert Maurier and Maurice Maurier all of Manchester. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: A calling hour is scheduled for Saturday (10/23) from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 21 Main St., Hooksett. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 11a.m. in the church. Private burial will be at St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester at the convenience of the family.
