Born in Manchester on May 11, 1925, he was the son of William and Mary (Royer) St. Onge. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. St. Onge worked as a sales representative with Nissen Bread Company, Sunbeam Bread and Genest Bakery for many years.
He was a longtime communicant of St. Augustin Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 79, the Knights of Columbus Council 5260 and the Teamsters Union.
He was an avid Red Sox fan who and enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his family.
He was married to Lillian T. (Lessard) St. Onge who died in 2005.
The family includes four children, Susan L. Duhaime of Manchester, Anita M. St. Onge of Portland, ME, Gloria S. Andrews of Chichester and Bill R. St. Onge of Amherst; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Guyette of Manchester, Jeannette Filteau of Goffstown and Rita Duval of Storrs, CT; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, October 19, 2009 at St. Anne-St. Augustin Church, corner of Beech and Spruce streets, Manchester. Committal prayers with military honors followed at St. Augustin Cemetery Chapel, So. Beech St., Manchester.
