Roger P. Proulx, 84, of Hooksett, died May 11, 2011 at Community Hospice House
in Merrimack, with his wife by his side, after a long illness.
He was born in Manchester on February 16, 1927 to Albert and Evana (Ouelette) Proulx. He lived in Manchester for most of his life before moving to Hooksett in 1978.
He was a WWII veteran having served in both the US Navy and US Marine Corps. He worked many years for Holmes Transportation and retired in 1989. He was a member of Local Union 633.
The family includes his beloved wife of 46 years, Lillian C. (Mailhot) Proulx of Hooksett; seven children, Roger Jr., Michael, David, Tulsa, Diana Swanson, David Groleau and Donna Townsend; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman Proulx of California; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date in St. Catherine Church, Manchester. Burial with military honors will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen at a later date.
