Roger L. Provencher, 71, of Manchester, died May 7, 2024 after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester on July 3, 1952, he was the son of Maurice and Olive (Poitras) Provencher. He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School.
Roger loved working as a machinist at General Electric for 38 years, where he brought joy to co-workers daily. He was loved and respected. He received awards at work and was so appreciative of the achievements.
Previously, he had enjoyed working for Granite State Tire & Battery as a mechanic for many years.
Roger was an expert ballroom dancer and had earned numerous trophies for his ability. He had also won an award in archery at the age of 3. He was a semi-pro bowler whose magnetic personality was cherished by all who knew him. Those baby blue eyes got anyone big or small to just come up to talk to him. He would always say I don’t even know that person. As his co-workers said to his wife, he was a sweet little man! He had so much love for his family, and he touched the lives of all of the people that he met. He will surely be missed.
Family members include his loving wife of 38 years, Theresa (Gingras) Provencher of Manchester; his daughter, Kayla Provencher and partner Michael of Hudson, FL; his siblings, Raymond Provencher of Matthews, NC, Albert Provencher and wife Christine of Manchester, Doris (Provencher) St. Cyr and Manchester, Paul Provencher and companion Christina of Nashua; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
