Roland Boisclair, 82, of Hooksett, died September 17, 2006, at his residence, surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He was born in Manchester on August 11, 1924 and was the son of Arthur and Anna(Gaudreault) Boisclair.
He was educated locally, and later served with the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a lifelong member of Local 131, Plumbers and Pipefitters.
Roland held membership in Post #4961 of the Hooksett Knights of Columbus, and served as past commander on several occasions.
He enjoyed taking care of his yard in all seasons. His family was the center of his life. Roland was a devoted caregiver to his wife of 58 years, Evelyn (Belisle) Boisclair who died in 2004.
Family members include 2 daughters; Carmel Marquis, of Surprise AZ, Cynthia Mercier, of Manchester; 2 sons, Kenneth Boisclair of Hooksett, Brian Boisclair, of Goffstown; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Terry Leach, Alice Smith, both of Manchester; 1 brother, Romeo Boisclair, of Manchester; several nieces nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday September 21, 2006 at St. Catherine Church, Webster St. Manchester.
Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
