Born in Holyoke, MA on October 9, 1939, he was the son of Gilbert and Rita (Brindamour) Boucher. He lived in Manchester most of his life and wintered in St. Petersburg, FL for seven years. He moved to Goffstown four years ago.
He served in the US Air Force for four years.
Mr. Boucher worked as a barber for several years. He then served as a police officer for the Manchester Police Department for 20 years and retired as a sergeant in 1986. In retirement, he worked for Bankeast and DEKA Corporation.
He was a member of the Manchester Association of Police Supervisors and the Retired Manchester Police Officers Association.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 49 years, Lucille (Soucy) Boucher of Goffstown; three children, Donna Paquin and her companion, Scott Purcell, of Goffstown, Stephen Boucher and his wife, Tammy, of Pembroke, and Lynn Gamache and her husband, Pete, of Weare; seven grandchildren; a brother, Richard Boucher and his wife, Ardie, of Kenosha, WI; two sisters, Jeannine Fauteux and her husband, Albert, of Munson, MA, and Shirley Fitchet and her husband, Bill, of Springfield, MA; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Ellis in 1996.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. Lawrence Church, 51 Main St., Goffstown. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
