Roland A. Bourgeois

Roland A. Bourgeois, 75, of Candia died October 31, 2002 at Elliot Hospital, Manchester after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on April 3, 1927, he was the son of Donat and Yvonne (Dumont) Bourgeois. He lived in Manchester many years before moving to Candia 22 years ago. He had been wintering in Ft. Myers, FL for many years.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.

In his younger years he worked as a barber at Roland's Barbershop which was owned by his father. He later worked at Gerry's Motor Sales and then was owner and operator of Roland's Manufactured Homes. He currently owned Country Lane Manor mobile home park in Candia.

Mr. Bourgeois enjoyed antique cars.

The family includes his wife of 46 years, Julie (Steckewicz) Bourgeois of Candia; five children, Susan J. Dusaitis of Manchester, Nancy L. Bourgeois of Hooksett, Richard R. Bourgeois of Texas, Cathy A. Everitt of Merrimack and Carol B. Conrad of Manchester; nine grandchildren; his mother of Manchester; a brother, Maurice L. Bourgeois of Bedford; a sister, Lorraine Tremblay of N. Reading, MA, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday November 4, 2002 in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
