He was born in Manchester, July 16, 1935, and was the son of Adrien A., and Yvonne(Hebert)Bourque.
He was a member of St. Raphael Parish. For many years Mr. Bourque worked as a driver for Catholic Medical Center, and Tires Incorporated.
Roland enjoyed making puzzles, doing crafts, and trips to the beach. He was a avid Manchester Monarchs, and Nascar fan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Family members include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Bourque, of Manchester; his children, Roland Bourque Jr., of Manchester, Sibyl Purington, of Nottingham, Cheryl Boudreau, of Manchester, Pamela Remillard, of Manchester, Lisa Hartford, of Auburn, Ricky Bourque, of Manchester; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jeannette Baron, Helen Burke, both of Manchester, Lillian Holt, of FL; 2 brothers, Robert Bourque and Adrien Bourque, both of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son Randy Bourque, in July 2009, and a grandson Evan Purington, in 2004.
A funeral liturgy took place in the funeral home on Saturday, November 21, 2009.
Memorial donations in Roland's name can be made to the VNA hospice care, 33 South Commercial St. suite Manchester.
