Roland Chalifour

Born in Manchester on July 3, 1938, he was the son of Albert and Beatrice (Blanchard) Chalifour. He attended local schools and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School. After graduation, he served in the US Navy.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed with the Teamsters Local Union, working at the Pepsi Co for over 40 years.

Roland enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, NASCAR racing, tending to his lawn and especially his dogs. He was a longtime member of the Deerhead Sportsman Club. Above all else, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother who cherished time spent with his grandchildren.

Family members include his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Rheault) Chalifour of Manchester; his children, Cheryl Chalifour of Manchester, Archie Chalifour and wife Carrie of Manchester, Lori Chalifour of Manchester, Donna Chalifour and companion Glenn Looney of Goffstown; his niece, Denise Maher and husband Greg of Manchester; his grandchildren, Paige Lucier, Matthew Maher, Tyler Chalifour, Evan and Audrey Looney; his siblings, Henry Chalifour and wife Doris of Manchester, Stella Brisson and husband Jack of Laconia, Claire Aguire of Chester; sister-in-law, Sandy Chalifour of Laconia; his dog, Lilly; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was predeceased by one sister Doris and two brothers Robert and Roger.

A memorial service was held on Friday, September 25, 2015 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
