Roland J. Ferland

Roland J. Ferland, 74, of Derry, died January 8, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center, after a brief illness.

He was born on June 11, 1929, and was the son Rene and Rella Ferland.

Roland had been a homebuilder in Southern NH for many years.

Roland was the President of the NH Home Builders in the seventies.He was the founder of the Working Dog Foundation, and a member of the Knights of Columbus at the St. Anselm post.

Roland served many years on the Derry NH budget committee. A very proud American, he was a member of the Republican party, and was very active in local politics.

He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Pauline Ferland in April 2001.

Family members include 3 children; Jacqueline Kramer, Patricia Ferland, and David Ferland, all of Derry; His mother, of Sanford ME; 4 brothers; 1 sister; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street assisted the family with the arrangements.
