Roland P. Gosselin

Roland P. Gosselin, 70, of Manchester and Laconia, NH, died September 2, 2006 at his summer residence surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with melanoma.

He was born in Lawrence, MA on September 16, 1935, the son of Alfred and Helena Gosselin. He attended Sacred Heart grammar school in Lawrence and Central Catholic High School. He was a graduate of the Massachusetts School of Pharmacy.

Mr. Gosselin was owner and operator of Gosselin's Pharmacy in Manchester for 40 years. He was also a commercial real estate developer.

Devoted to his Catholic faith, he was a parishioner of three parishes, St. Helena Church in Weirs, NH, Sts. Peter & Paul Cathedral in St. Thomas V.I., and Parish of the Transfiguration in Manchester. He loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruising with his wife. Roland was an avid reader who found his greatest joy spending time with his family.

Mr. Gosselin was an extremely generous man who gave selflessly to numerous charities.

Family members include his wife of 38 years, Cecile (Gendron) Gosselin of Manchester, Laconia, and St. Thomas V.I.; two sons, Paul R. Gosselin and his wife Stephanie of Windham, NH, and Peter J. Gosselin and his wife Katharine of Mansfield, MA; three grandchildren, Matthew, Renee, and Jake Gosselin; two brothers, Gilles Gosselin of Lawrence, MA, and Richard Gosselin of Alton Bay, NH; two sisters, Lillian Saindon and Yvette Gosselin, both of Lawrence; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Larry Gosselin and two sisters, Florence Charpentier and Gilberte Fournier.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., on Wednesday September 6, 2006. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
