He was born in Manchester on February 22, 1925 to Joseph and Lucianna (Therrien) Houle. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
In 1951, he was a Salvatorian Brother for five years until he withdrew to help care for his ailing father.
He served in the US Army, US Air Force, Army National Guard and Air National Guard, and worked as a mechanic for the Army National Guard for many years.
He was a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood and the American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post 2
He was married to Jeannette T. (Bourassa) Houle, who died in 1995.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes two children, Diane Morin and her husband, Ben, and Michael Houle and his fiancee, Theresa Petrillo all of Manchester; five grandchildren, David Morin, Liane Morin, Danielle Houle, Thomas Houle and Samantha Houle; a brother, Maurice Houle of Georgia; and a companion, Connie Correia of Manchester.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the chapel of St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech Street, Manchester.
