Roland J. Proulx, 68, of Millsfield, NH died at home Sunday May 14th with his loved ones by his side.
Born August 29, 1954 in Manchester, he was the son of Robert Proulx & Doris (Berube) Forcier. Roland grew up in Manchester and was a graduate of St. Marie's High School.
Roland was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses over the years. He previously owned and operated the Queen City Inn in Manchester and the Back Woods Tavern in Errol. For the past 17 years he has resided in Millsfield where he owned and operated Log Haven Campground with his partner Carol.
Roland was known amongst family and friends as a jokester. He loved golfing, riding ATVs, going to the beach, and particularly vacationing in Florida. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Roland is survived by his loving partner of 26 years, Carol Pomelow of Millsfield; his mother Doris Forcier of Manchester; his stepchildren Catherine Lynch & her husband Brendon of North Stratford, NH, and Dean Hodgdon & his partner Macala Hook of South Berwick, ME; his siblings Dan Proulx & his wife Amy, and Claire McNamara & her husband Tom all of Plainfield, NH; his mother-in-law Pam Pomelow & father-in-law Marcel Vaillancourt of Manchester; his sisters-in-law Christine Azotea of Bradford and Deborah Urella of New Boston; his nieces & nephews Elizabeth Smith & her husband Justin, Jeffrey McNamara & his wife Karina, Nathan McNamara & his wife Kaleigh, Hailey Proulx, Trevor Proulx, Shia Proulx, Jamie Azotea of Bradford, Alicia Urella of New Boston, and Tyler Urella & his wife Sara of Waterville; and his grandchildren Harper & Paislee Lynch and Logan & Evan Hodgdon. He was predeceased by his father Robert Proulx.
SERVICES: Calling hours for Roland will be Friday May 19th from 5 to 7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday May 20th at 10 am at St. Catherine Church, 207 Hemlock St., Manchester. Committal will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
